Messenger Bag

Now this is a project I got while I was visiting my grandparents. It was one of my first real projects on my own... I bought the pattern that I looked most simple. I ended up with the Jen Giddens Classic Messenger bag. It called for 1 1/3 of exterior fabric, 1 yard of lining, 1 1/3 of duck cloth, and a d-ring and a swivel clasp. This project was very fun and is great for beginners. The instructions were very clear on most parts. My first trouble was how to sew the bag corners because the insturctions were not very clear on that... Then when I was making the pockets it didnt have the best discription on how to do it so I made up my own pocket. The last touble I had was in the instructions it didnt tell me to cut the duck cloth into the strap as well as the exterior but I eventually caught on. So if you ever plan on making this project just remember those few things.. Other than that its a great project and I advise for everyone to make this project. The finnished product is so cute. This was deffinatly a great project!
